Software Development 2.0 is about harnessing collective intelligence. It addresses the challenge of integrating people and software. Social network inspired tools and platform present new ways to foster such collaboration and bring it to the next level: Software Development 2.0.

The community has realized that software development is an information business, in which roles such as developers, testers, or managers need to enrich their work on common artifacts with coordinated group activities, inter-personal connections, and social awareness.

It is also about the integration of commodity components such as version control, issue tracking, blogs, forums, configuration management, or build management systems into new platforms and development environments. The awareness of tasks, data, and collaborators, the relevance of information for developer teams, or the analytics of such data form the center of current investigations.

CHOOSE Forum 2011 features talks about adding social awareness in collaborative development, recommendation systems for software use, ways to tackle information overload, working-set based programming environments, and social networks and analytics. We have invited internationally renowned speakers who will cover the latest and greatest in Software Development 2.0 such as Code Bubbles, Codebook, Recommender systems, or Collaborative Development Environments.
