Sponsoring

In an effort to support the object-oriented programming and software engineering research community in Switzerland, CHOOSE has launched the following programs:

Object-Oriented and Software Engineering Conferences

CHOOSE sponsors students of Swiss universities to attend conferences on object-oriented technologies and software engineering. CHOOSE will offer 500 CHF per student and per year. In order to qualify for the sponsorship, the student has to have a paper or poster accepted for presentation at that conference.

To apply, the student must send an e-mail to the CHOOSE Board ( choose-exec@list.inf.unibe.ch) with the following information (in PDF format):

• Short CV of the student,
• Accepted paper or poster abstract
• Confirmation of acceptance

By applying the student agrees to acknowledge the CHOOSE support in the publication. For this reason, the request for sponsorship must be sent at least one week before the camera-ready deadline of the conference.

Student Mobility

CHOOSE encourages the exchange and the mobility of students between research teams with the destination of Switzerland. The student can be part of a Swiss team or a foreign country. CHOOSE offers 5 grants of up to 2'500 CHF per calendar year and per institution.

To apply, the supervisor of the hosting institution must send an e-mail to the CHOOSE Board ( choose-exec@list.inf.unibe.ch) containing the following information (in PDF format):

• Description of the purpose of the exchange, explaining why the exchange would be hampered without the support of CHOOSE
• Short CV of the student
• Short description of the two teams

By applying, the student agrees to give a presentation of the work done during this exchange programme as a CHOOSE talk (travel expenses will be covered by CHOOSE while the student is in Switzerland).
